More Stitcheries!

First up, let me apologise for the poor photography. My camera and editing skills are really not good enough to get decent pictures of these, but I'm not home enough during daylight hours at the moment to be able to pick my time.

As you see below, I did find time to pick at Rapunzel and her tower is now finished. DD and I tried to get a bit arty with it, I don't have a light box and the lack of free daylight minutes at the moment meant that my tracing of the design was not brilliant. I think it looks OK though. I used a variegated thread for the castle walls, though you can't tell that here. You can tell I used another variegated thread for the vines and plants though. Then I just poked about in my bits box and came up with a lovely bright yellow for her hair.

Dear Hunney says it "looks like a mushroom house and her with the hair should be in a tower". He left the room rather fast after that comment! DS Joe says it looks like a medieval tower! Yay!! That will do for me. The piece is now safely stowed away in a box awaiting some friends.
For those that don't know, this is part one of Capricorn Quilts BOM, 'Once upon a Time'. There is a link to it in my side bar.

As I still have no bond a web, so can't start Red Delicious, I just had to down load and start on Gail Pan's 'Christmas Wish'. Terrible huh? How awful for me!

Here it is all ready to be stitched. I haven't stuck to the suggested colours, but once again pulled what seemed right out of the bits box.
In an effort to get some more reds together for Red Delicious and meaning to get some Bond a web, I went online this afternoon and visited my favorite online store, I dug about in the sales pages looking for red and bought only one christmassy red for the Gail Pan BOM, then 4 other pieces of fabric fell into my basket too! Ooops! I forgot to order the bond a web after all that! So in a day or two I'll have some lovely fabrics to play with but no bond a web. So tomorrow I'll be working at our Onchan office and will be taking a dinner break in order to visit a real bricks and mortar store, where maybe I'll find some non Christmas reds and some bond a web. Oh yeah! and if I'm doing all these stitcheries I think I'll get some more iron on stabiliser!
Shhhh! Don't tell Hunney. LOL
It was Monday yesterday, and it went OK!
Gratitude's
1) My wonderful supportive family.
2) Fun colleagues
3) Internet shopping.

You have been busy. The tower looks great. You should have lots of finished projects by the end of the year.

It's a good excuse to go shopping again. I love the tower and can't wait to see what next month's block is
