Switching and swapping.

So, I have all the HST pieces stitched and ready to go together. Now I'm at a swapping things about stage. Do I go for totally scrappy, a little bit ordered, or do I let my tidy mind stress over colours and patterns? Seeing it here like this, I spot a couple of things I want to change, no matter what. LOL
Not the greatest picture I'm afraid, but as you see below, I had to close the blind.

New Beginnings.

As a typical crafter, having finished one project, did I turn to my pile of works in progress? Silly question really, of course I didn't, I started something new. :-)
I pulled out two packs of Fig Tree's Butterscotch and Rose, and cut myself a bunch of 5 inch squares of another Figgy fabric. Then started to make me a bunch of Half Square Triangles.
I'm off to play for a couple of hours.

Finished.

Thanks to those who send encouraging messages. :-) You know who you are. I got on yesterday and quilted some ferns into my Kiwiana quilt. Two small ferns each at top and bottom. and two long ferns up either side panel.
I didn't go free motion, opting instead to do the drag it all this way and drag it all that way method. It's not as flat and perfect as I would have liked, but I love it anyway.
It's hanging over a disused door in my sitting room and will stay there for quite some time I think. :-)
Now I'm off to plot my next project.

I must confess

To a certain amount of procrastination. It's not only life and work that are getting in the way of my craft! My own  lack of self belief is also playing a big part too. You see I have finished all of the straight line quilting. It looks pretty effective, I think.
Here's how the back looks.
 And the front.
There are a few wobbles here and there, but not one single tuck or fold, front or back. :-)
So what is the problem you ask?
A Kiwiana quilt deserves, nay, demands Ferns!
The first one is drawn and ready, now I'm procrastinating...............

S.L.O.O.O.W

Life is moving along very fast here, which means my crafting is moving very slowly. As you can see I still have quite a long way to go on my blue blanket, but it is so nice to be able to pick it up whenever and work on it. Sometimes I don't even get to complete a whole row before I have to drop it again.
The quilt you see in the last post is half way quilted. I have managed to tidy all of those ends away, but I still need to make more. I'm just going in straight lines which echo the straight edges of the blocks.
Gotta run, DD's Birthday was yesterday, but we were both working, so we're meeting today for lunch.
