The End of Year Round-up. (Lots of pictures!)

While blog reading this afternoon I notice that many people are making todays post an end of year report. I sighed and thought to myself, it's not worth my while, I didn't do much this year.
Tony encouraged me to look through my picture files, reminding me of some of my projects.
WOW! Did I get a surprise. Although it didn't feel that way, I have been creative this year and was very pleasantly surprised by all that I found.
I made lots of little bags for shoes and other items while travelling.
I thoroughly enjoyed the mindless rhythm of crochet. Especially through some of the more difficult weeks.
Making blankets to snuggle on the sofa
 Blankets for friends.
 And blankets for loved ones.
I fell in love once again with the peace of Cross stitch. Completing several UFOs
Endangered Species. (UFO)
Follow Me was a new start.
The very recently started and completed Lucky Escape.
 Moonbeam was a new start.
Santa, also recently completed was an adopted UFO
 Floral Trio was a UFO.
I was even pleasantly surprised by how many quilts I had managed to complete.
None of them are huge and some were UFOs from 2012.
These first two went to my beautiful Grand daughter Faith.
A blue one for my new nephew Jacob.
 Another one for Faith.
And one for my dear son Joe.
I even found evidence of other moments creativity.
A few little items I gifted to special friends.
 Using up scraps and leftovers.
And last but not least, some orphan blocks.
I'm sure there are other items I've made this year, but I figure you've put up with enough repeats! It's like watching Christmas TV. LOL
I haven't picked up my cross stitch for a couple of weeks, maybe once all the fuss of Christmas and New Year are over....
I did find myself fiddling with a crochet project though, it's almost done, and my last sewing finish for 2013 is a secret!!
*
I'm really no good at keeping new years resolutions, so I shan't resolve....
I will however state that I would like to make an early start on Christmas and aim to complete maybe one item a month that is Christmas related. Either as a gift or something decorative.
You may or may not get to see those.

I wish you all a very happy and healthy new year, may 2014 bring you all that you deserve.
And a visa for me?
Please?
Soon?

Happy New Year to you both. It is always a bit of a surprise looking back at what you have made, I always think. My total wasn't too good, only one finished quilt, but lots of smaller items.
May your visa come through soon!!

Wow, you really did accomplish a lot this year. I couldn't get so much done, what with my fingers always crossed for your visa to come through and all. But I just know that this year will be the best as you all head for a whole new life. Happy New Year.
