Although the sun is currently trying to make an appearance, it's a wild and wintry day here on the Isle of Man. The wind is gusting up to 70 mph. There are some fierce showers rattling through and next doors mail box is clattering! So that makes it a very good day to stay at home, wrapped up warm and doing something creative. Like my cross stitch. Santa finally has a face, I'm all caught up on the back stitching, and the only thing that remains to be stitched are the toys in his sack, I already made a start on the dolly, that's her blue dress you can see there.
I'm hoping to get Santa finished today. But first I got busy in the kitchen, it's a good day to have the oven on too!
I made Chocolate and orange marble muffins. Once they have cooled I'll add a creamy chocolate topping and a slice of Terrys chocolate orange.
YUM!
I'm off to sew while the cakes cool down.
I'll try to get a photo of both finishes, but I suspect the cakes may be difficult, they disappear fast! There are already three missing!

It's been blowing a hooley here too today, although we don't usually use that expression. Yesterday was 33 degrees, today at 5pm it was 5 degrees. There was snow on them there hills. Not happy. It's supposed to be summer. It would have been a great day to be inside. Santa is making great progress. I'm really enjoying seeing him grow.
ooh! they look good .. the only problem is being able to eat them ALL before they go off!! as if that will happen xx keep warm and safe x
Everything looks so good there. Parts of the US are at sub zero but here it is unseasonably warm but rainy. I spent part of yesterday outside on the deck knitting. Very restful.
Our weather gizmo showed we were having winds at 78mph in our garden yesterday. Luckily 2 fence posts wee the only real victims, if you don't count the plant pots I had to rescue several times, and the bin that blew over.
Those cakes look yummy, and Santa is great. It's only when you see a larger photo that you realise just how much work is in that.
