There hasn't been a huge amount of stitching activity here as I'm back at work. But the stitching time I've had has been used mostly on the Down in the Garden stitching.
Another block is nearing completion. This one has only a little left.
I could have gotten it completed yesterday but a squirrel came along.
We were having a tidy up at work and the activities lady came across a bag of hexies that she had intended to give to me some time ago.
They came in a huge bag of crafting items that were donated to the home. As none of the residents with whom we work have the dexterity to do EPP Jo passed them my way. I had fun playing with them, sorting them into 'flower' groups and glue basting some more fabric pieces onto papers. They are 1.5 inches along one edge, so will work perfectly with my current scrappy hexie project. The papers used in those already stitch basted seems to be the heavy duty brown paper bags we get from the supermarket. Not something I have worked with before, I prefer the lightweight card variety, but I'll see how they go.

Did I look at the May Chookshed challenge yet?
No.
I'm off work Monday and Tuesday, maybe I'll get a chance then.

Free stuff is an excellent bonus.
Those hexies were just waiting for their new home, how lovely.
Your doily angels in previous post are so sweet and very clever xx
Your latest stitchery block seems to have a little less work than the previous once, but still quite a bit. It is looking great. Have fun with those hexies. There looks to be lots of vintage fabrics in there n
Yes free stuff can definately take you down a rabbit hole!! Some of those fabrics look a bit vintage Lou - how gorgeous. xx
Enjoy stitching your next block…

Enjoy those distractions. They can be a lot of fun.
Oh those darned squirrels!!! However you've scored a good collection of hexies there and your Down in the Garden block is a delight, love the thread colours you've used.
