A Focus Finish.

Last night at a minute to bedtime I completed the knitted scarf.  I haven't used all of the extra ball of yarn, just enough to add about 3 inches to the scarf. I completed the knitting yesterday afternoon as I sat with Debbie, we had a knit and natter.
After tea I cast off and added a crochet shell border around the edges.
And this morning I buried the last two yarn ends and added my label.
Yay! A Finish.
I did tell myself that once the scarf was done, I could make a start on my knitted mohair sweater, but as I was lying awake at stupid dark O'clock in the middle of the night, I decided that I might just impose the rule that I must complete the Down in the Garden Stitcheries first. I don't have that much left to stitch, so in the grand scheme of crafting it really isn't a big thing!
Stitchery is a day off well rested kind of thing in my world though, so for my 15 minutes before work and when I'm tired after work, I'll be continuing with the crochet ripple blanket.
This is where it's up to now.
It's just getting to be big enough to keep me warm as I work on it, which is lovely.

After having a day of knitting with Debbie yesterday I'll need to get on with my chores today before I can play, but hopefully they won't take me beyond lunch time, then I get all afternoon.
Another job I need to do is to make a formal bloggy record of my WIPs , I wonder if I should do one for my wants to makes. LOL That would be a long list.

Well done. The shell edge finishes the scarf off nicely. Your ripple blanket is looking good too. I won’t be putting a WIP/UFO list on my blog, as it is too embarrassingly long. I do have it elsewhere though and it never seems to diminish.

A want to make list could be fairly lengthy if you are anything like me, Lou. I like your new scarf, it's very pretty!

That is a lovely finish on your scarf.
I like the idea of a day of knitting!

Gosh it turned out so lovely Lou & I adore the crochet edging you have added. Just finishes it off nicely. I have grand ideas when I am lying awake at night too - it is often a different scenario in the cold light of day (!!)

Well done on the finish Lou, it is lovely and the edging makes it more special. I think sew/knit/stitch what makes you happy.

So nice to sit and knit and natter.
Your scarf looks lovely with the crocheted edge.
Good progress on the ripple blanket.

It is a beautiful finish, Lou! That shell stitch edging really is a nice touch.
Sounds like a good plan for your "currently-in-the-queue" projects. It is nice to have something handy that doesn't take too much thought or concentration when you just want to keep your hands busy.
I like the looks of your ripple blanket.

the scarf is really pretty... I do find lists help - even if only to remind me what is in there!

Agree on the crochet edge, it's just right.
I, too, would be afraid of putting a list of unfinished projects online, I don't even want to consider making a list! I need a longer life!
