So, the other day, I found myself looking back in time through my blog, I'm really not sure how or why, but it happened. I realised that I started this quilt over a year ago. Over A Year!!! I know for some of you that is no big thing, and no, it's not the first project of mine which I've procrastinated over, but for some reason, that revelation gave me the kick up the bum I needed. This morning I put my already completed rows together, quilt as I go style. This afternoon I intend to close up the sashing strips on the back. (The method I'm using does this by hand) Then I just have to decide on what to bind with.
I have some yummy fig tree scraps which would work well, or does the busyness of the top require a plainer binding? I have more of the yummy buttery yellow which I used to sash the blocks.
In case you're wondering, this is a Moda Bake Shop pattern called 'Charming Stars' and the fabrics are pre cut charms of Fig Tree Quilts 'Gypsy Rose' and 'Dandelion Girl', with the odd piece of 'Mill House Inn' thrown in to make up numbers.

My back is sooo much better, it really has taken a leap over the last couple of days. Fingers crossed I may be able to go back to work next week. I'm due in the office on Wednesday then onto the floor on Thursday, so another whole week to recover. Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words and good wishes.

Right, I'm off to play.

Glad you are improving. The quilt is lovely and either binding would be fine!
Your quilt is beautiful. And I am so glad you are feeling better. I hope your sucess with this quilt will get your quilting mojo going again.
Oh, I have lots of things older than that, but it is too pretty to keep under wraps any longer! Glad it's getting a turn in the stitching queue :)
