Sew, it's been a while, and for that I apologise. Life has been different shall we say.
Work is good, I'm still enjoying it. Life away from work has been mixed. Busy and quiet. Happy and sad. Up and down. Home and away.
And to be fair, mostly relaxed.
I've done a little crafting, some baking, some gardening and some preserving.
But mostly, I've been reading.
The seasons have changed, from long warm Summer days.
To cooler winter nights.
As I said, I have done a little crafting.
Some crochet, I don't have a nice picture, so you'll have to wait for that...
I also had a go at macramé, with mixed results.
Again, no pics!
Something else for another day.
My Christmas ornaments got stuck and two and a half! LOL And here we are on the brink of month five! I'll catch up I promise.
I found my sewjo for a day or two in April and set about finishing two projects.
Gail Pans 'Wish You Well' sewalong.
I quilted it very simply by stitching in the ditch around each of the embroideries.
The binding and border come from the same piece of fabric.
And it is backed with one side of a quilt cover.
I couldn't resist these cute Kiwi when I saw them.
The other side of the duvet cover, a pretty peach with white spots....
Went onto the back of my RSC Butterflies.
I quilted them with more stitching in the ditch around each block.
The jury is still out on the antennae.
Some days I think they need them, and some days I don't.
And a closer look at their borders and binding.
After that little flurry, the sewjo went away again, until yesterday when I pulled out two scrappy table runners which I put together last year.
They both got the quick and simple quilting treatment.
And matching bindings.
I shall endeavour to keep the sewjo interested and come back with more soon.
If nothing else I'll need to get some decent pictures of my Macramé and crochet.
Maybe this afternoon I can get out my March Ornament and make some progress.....

I've been missing you! I have been on/off with most everything for the past few months, so you are not alone there. It will get better for all of us! Blessed Be.
Hi, Lou! Was wondering what you’d been doing lately—sometimes crafting and blogging lags seem hard to break. Lovely finishes on your pretty projects—glad you set to those lovelies!
You have some lovely finishes there, I guess the sewing bug come and goes with us all from time to time.
Great finishes, congratulations, and all in one month. Pretty productive.
You have been very productive and the quilts look so lovely. I still need to sew the bottom row onto my Gail Pan quilt and shall also add a plain border when I find the right fabric. Well done!
I know what you mean about sewjo disappearing at times. Your latest finishes have turned out nicely. Sometimes simple quilting is all that is required. Hopefully your sewjo continues to hang around and “life” settles down a bit.
Good to see you getting back to stitching. Well done getting the quilts done. Great backing ideas.
The cold weather does tend to encourage snuggling up with a good book. It's hard to stitch and read at the same time.
Your quilt finishes are lovely especially the butterflies - such a great RSC idea. The table runners are lovely too - beautiful bright colours. xx
