Today I spent most of the day sat on the sofa at Timaru Patchworkers club where I didn't sew a single patch, but I did do some embroidery. I wasn't the only one, there were a few of us with hand work rather than sewing machines this month and the promise of more next time. LOL
I was able to complete a whole cluster of Daisies on Mums table cloth while I chatted with the other ladies. I have to say I'm happy with my progress.
There are two and a bit clusters left to complete. Then I'll have to move on to the clothing items and make more of a plan for those. I was chatting with some of the girls at club and we have added a little more to the basic plan that Janice helped me to come up with. Let's say watch this space.....Because holding your breath might have health implications. LOL
So that was my day at club.
I promised some aquisitions.
I had told myself that I wasn't going to buy anything while I was out with Janet on Tuesday but when I spied this item I knew it was a must have.
I really, really want to have a go at making this little guy. He is adorable. Made with wool felt and some pretty stitching.
Here are the Inspiration Magazine details if anyone else is interested.
It's one of last years issues but I'm sure you'll find a copy.
And finally for today I was perusing facebook the other day and saw another must have item.
Somebody in an EPP group was using these and you know how it is....Monkey see, monkey want.
I ordered it right away and was delighted when it turned up on my doorstep less than 48 hours later.
I'm sure I can make good use of these cute wee motifs and I already have a whole book full of others for the one day pile, which is being held down and kept under control by a 'roundtuit'.
That's my news, not much I'm afraid, but better than none at all.

That's some pretty embroidery, Lou!
ohhh i would have caved for that blue bird as well....lovely stitchery so far...
Your daisies are so pretty. Love the penguin but I am not going to be tempted - I have a rabbit in my future, at some point..... The linen flowers are lovely. xx
Your cluster of daisies are so pretty in those colours. I’m intrigued as to the latest developments in your quilt plans.
Love the field of blooms embroidery. I can't wait to see what you do with the bird!
Pretty cluster of daisies..
Cute penguin 🐧…
Wonder what you will make with the lovely designs.
What a cute little blue penguin, of course you have to stitch him. You've done lots of lovely stitching on the tablecloth. I don't take my sewing machine to our club's stitching days, it is much to heavy and cumbersome for me to move. I often save a quilt binding to work on.
Pretty daisies. Oh the penguin is so cute, i can see why you bought the magazine for him.
Hello Lou. I have finally found a way to follow you ... it used to go to my email but for some reason, no longer. Blogger has a mind of its own nowadays. Also I could not get onto your blog (my computer is playing up) so I have come via a comment that you left me on my blog. I think both those items would have had to have come home with me also!!! They are both adorable.
Very pretty daisies and I love the bird - really like the Field of Blooms, enjoy!
